Agricultural Education at OPSU prepares students to become secondary Agricultural Education instructors in high school programs in Oklahoma and surrounding states. Graduates are certified to teach agriculture in Oklahoma and can qualify with the Ag. Ed. degree to serve as agriculture instructors in the surrounding states. Students obtain a solid background in agriculture as well as a strong foundation in general education courses. Once in the Teacher Education Program at OPSU, Ag. Ed. Majors concentrate on developing knowledge and skills necessary for teaching. The OPSU Agricultural Education program has a 100% placement rate for those graduates that choose teaching high school agriculture as their profession.
