Course Description:
Prerequisite: ACCT 2203 and CIS 2223 or consent of instructor. We will study the procedures, concepts and purposes underlying the development of accounting web-based systems. Examines web page development, accounting systems, and security and control issues of web-based businesses. The overall course objective is to develop a fundamental understanding and philosophy of E-Commerce as it applies to current and future business success. It should be understood, however, that the term E-Commerce does not always mean web-based businesses. E-Commerce means the use of any electronic means to aid and/or complete any business procedure.
