Course Description:
Prerequisite: Acct 4013 Income Tax Procedure I. This class is an upper level accounting class, a rigorous study of tax law and return preparation that is an optional accounting class for accounting majors and can be used as a business elective. This class is a study of property transactions, partnership, corporation, estate and trust taxation, present income tax laws, and tax problems. The overall course objective is to nurture a philosophy of continual learning in the "Information Age." Taxation continually evolves as economic, political, social, and equity concerns drive our lawmakers. Students must learn basic assumptions and how to find, analyze and incorporate annual changes.
