Course Description:
Examines rural culture and factors that impact the health of rural residents.  Focus is on characteristics and perspectives of rural residents, barriers to healthcare services, role and scope of rural nursing practice, and health promotion for rural population (individuals, families and communities).  The current state of rural nursing theory is addressed.
