Roger McKinnon graduated from OPSU in 1972. He began his
collegiate career at OU, but transferred to OPSU after two
years. His senior year, McKinnon was a District 9 golf medalist
and participated in the NAIA National Golf Tournament, finishing
in the top 20. He also earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting
and Business Administration from OPSU.
In 1999, McKinnon joined the OPSU athletic department as
the head coach for the men's and women's golf teams and remains
the men's head coach. He also has a close association with
the OPSU football and basketball teams and is the senior
member on the athletic staff.
During his tenure at OPSU,
McKinnon has had two golfers named as All-American scholars
and has had one player compete at the regional level.
