"Green Week" at McKee Library

—Submitted by Dawn Lloyd on 03/23/2011 Goodwell, Okla.—McKee Library is hosting "Green Week" March 25 through March 31, a designated time for spring clean-up at OPSU's library and also to announce our continuing recycling efforts. In addition to ongoing campus recycling of white paper and newspapers, the staff at McKee Library also offers the following:

Magazines and catalogs are being taken to the new recycling center in Guymon;

Cardboard and plastic water bottles are delivered to Gruver;

Local Lions Club has placed a collection box at the library for recycling used glasses; and

McKee Library continues to collect and recycle used printer cartridges and now will also send in used cell phones to Greenschool, a company that helps non-profit organizations raise funds by recycling these items.

The library will send a shipment the first week in April. Any contribution you can make to any of these recycling endeavors will be greatly appreciated.

If you are unable to bring your items to the library, they can be picked up. Notify Dawn Lloyd via email dlloyd@opsu.edu or telephone her at 349-1548.
