"Green Week" at McKee Library

—Submitted by Dawn Lloyd on 03/23/2011 Goodwell, Okla.—McKee Library is hosting "Green Week" March 25 through March 31, a designated time for spring clean-up at OPSU's library and also to announce our continuing recycling efforts. In addition to ongoing campus recycling of white paper and newspapers, the staff at McKee Library also offers the following:

Magazines and catalogs are being taken to the new recycling center in Guymon;

Cardboard and plastic water bottles are delivered to Gruver;

Local Lions Club has placed a collection box at the library for recycling used glasses; and

McKee Library continues to collect and recycle used printer cartridges and now will also send in used cell phones to Greenschool, a company that helps non-profit organizations raise funds by recycling these items.

The library will send a shipment the first week in April. Any contribution you can make to any of these recycling endeavors will be greatly appreciated.
