Men's Golf Opens Season

—By Laura Nelson on 03/03/2012 Pottsboro, Texas—The Oklahoma Panhandle State University men's golf team opened their spring golf season at the Crawford Wade Intercollegiate Invitational hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce Feb. 25-28.

Over 70 players representing fourteen colleges and universities played the Tanglewood Resort golf course located on Lake Texoma near Pottsboro, Texas. Aggies Trent Combs and Tyler Montgomery turned in 236 strokes each over three rounds, coming in 38th overall. Golfers Barrett McCormick, Cole Cramer and Taylor Campbell also competed.

The men travel to Kansas to play the Elks Country Club course in Salina and Turkey Creek in McPherson Mar. 4-6. The women open their spring season Mar. 11-13 in Garden City, Kans.
