Golf Completes Fall Season

—By Laura Nelson on 10/26/2012 Winfield, Kan.—The men's golf team competed in their final fall season tournament earlier this week, playing two rounds on the Winfield Country Club course.

On Monday, the team turned in the second lowest score with a combined 313. Tyler Harper and Trent Combs both finished the par-72, 6,463-yard course with a 76 and tied for fourth place in the round. Taylor Campbell was right behind with a 77 and Reagan Karlin had an 84. On Tuesday, the wind picked up with 30-35 mph gusts and the scores rose accordingly. After 36 holes, Combs tied for seventh with a 158, Campbell finished eleventh with 161, and Karlin and Harper turned in 170 and 175, respectively.

The golfers do not resume competition until February, giving the men and women plenty of preparation time for the spring season tournaments.
