**For Immediate Release** Aggies Outshine the All-Stars —By Laura Nelson on 11/08/2012 Goodwell, Okla.—The OPSU men's basketball team played their second and final exhibition game last night in Oscar Williams Field House, winning 135-63 against the New Mexico All-Star team, a loosely formed group of former college players.
In fact, three of last night's All-Stars are former Aggies—Reggie Lassiter, D'Ron Walker, and Josh Edenborough. According to Aggie head coach Jerry Olson, the All-Stars were missing two of their key players, and the Aggies took full advantage, putting on a scoring show with eight players shooting in double digits. Dependable Bill Lee led all scorers with 27 while Krys Randolph went 8 for 9 on 3-point shots to add 24. All-Star scoring was led by Walker, who had 21 while Lassiter and Edenborough, had five each. Aggie Jared Messer had 12 rebounds followed Lee with 11. Brandon Caruthers had 14 assists.
Olson said, "Our guys kept playing until the very end and continued to execute their offensive plays. When we started playing zone defense, we gave up 20-25 points and that's something we will work on.
Aggie fans have plenty of opportunities to cheer their teams on in the next few days. Tonight at 6 p.m., the women play their final game of the season at home against Northwestern Oklahoma State University and the seniors will be honored.
