**For Immediate Release** Panhandle State Foundation inducts Distinguished Contributors —Submitted by Panhandle State Foundation on 11/09/2012 Goodwell, Okla.—The Panhandle State Foundation annual donor appreciation banquet was held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 in the Student Union Ballroom on the Oklahoma Panhandle State University campus. The disco-themed event began the annual fund drive, recognized the scholarship recipients and inducted two new members into the Distinguished Contributor Honor Roll. The Distinguished Contributor Honor Roll recognizes individuals, firms and organizations for their generous support of Foundation activities. Contributors are honored annually for their support of time, money, interest and concern for the students of OPSU through the Panhandle State Foundation. The 2012 inductees were David and Sharon Petty and the Farmers Elevator Inc.

Panhandle State Foundation President Leland Robertson thanked all the donors for continuing to support the Foundation in its mission to support Oklahoma Panhandle State University and its students. Dr. Doris Looper, Foundation Executive Secretary, presented a current financial report stating total assets at just over $10 million and acknowledged that 235 scholarships were awarded to OPSU students for the 2012-2013 year. Dr. David Bryant, OPSU President, announced several outstanding achievements recently accomplished by OPSU students.

Dr. Doris Looper announced the addition of David and Sharon Petty to the Distinguished Contributor's Honor Roll. David Petty is a respected attorney from Guymon. He serves and has served on many various law-related boards and associations throughout the state. He is also a highly valued member of the Panhandle State Foundation board. Sharon Petty is an OPSU alumnus, as well as an active member of the community and has been vital in obtaining several landscape grants for the city of Guymon. She has been named Beta Sigma Phi Woman of the Year and received the Dale Citizenship Foundation award. Continuing their generous support of OPSU, they established the David and Sharon Petty Scholarship fund in 2011 through the Panhandle State Foundation scholarship program. Panhandle State Foundation is honored to recognize David and Sharon Petty as the truly distinguished contributors that they are.

Mr. Bryant Riffe, current operator of Farmers Elevator Inc., presented the Distinguished Contributor plaque to Farmers Elevator Inc. Farmers Elevator Inc. has a long-standing history with Goodwell and the surrounding area. Members of the Riffe family have owned and operated the elevator for many years. Farmers Elevator continues to generously support OPSU and OPSU student activities. Don and Gaynelle Riffe accepted the Distinguished Contributor plaque for Farmers Elevator Inc.
