Women Fall to UC-Colorado Springs —By Laura Nelson on 11/17/2012 Alamosa, Colo.—The Mountain Lions of the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs dominated the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies on both ends of the court Friday afternoon at the Alamosa Tourism and Bankers Classic, taking a 96-55 win in their season opener.
UC-CS took the lead at the beginning of the game while OPSU struggled to score, ending the game with a 32 percent shooting average compared to the opponents' 59 percent. Whitley Coca led all scorers with 26, the only Aggie with double digits. Coca also dished out four assists and teammate Shayla Mathis grabbed five rebounds. The women's season record now stands at 2-2.
