Panhandle State Foundation is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization located on the Oklahoma Panhandle State University campus in Goodwell, Okla. Its mission is to aid the university beyond the funding it receives from the State of Oklahoma. Every year, Panhandle State Foundation awards scholarships to both needy and deserving OPSU students. Over 240 scholarships are available for the 2013-2014 year. The 2013-2014 Panhandle State Foundation scholarship packet contains this wide selection of scholarships with varying requirements. The scholarship packet is available in the Foundation Office (SL207 on the OPSU campus) or is downloadable on the Foundation page at http://www.opsu.edu. Applications will be accepted until March 1, 2013.

Tri-County Electric Cooperative Graduating Seniors Scholarships: Panhandle State Foundation is proud to announce the establishment of eight Tri-County Electric Cooperative Graduating Seniors Scholarships for 2013-2014 through Panhandle State Foundation. These scholarships are provided by Tri-County Electric Cooperative, Inc. in Hooker, Okla. Applicants should be entering freshmen or returning sophomores with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Applicant, parent or guardian must be a member of the cooperative in good standing. Community service and non-academic activities will be considered. Panhandle State Foundation will accept applications until March 1, 2013.

Jordan-Quinn Post #1203 Veterans of Foreign Wars Scholarship: The Jordan-Quinn Post 1203 Veterans of Foreign Wars was chartered in 1934 by 20 local veterans of the Spanish-American War and World War I. The Guymon VFW post recently established a scholarship endowment with Panhandle State Foundation. This endowment will fund two scholarships annually for a veteran or a spouse, child or grandchild of a veteran. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA and financial need will be considered. Panhandle State Foundation will accept applications until March 1, 2013.
