**For Immediate Release** Rector and Hong on Tour Submitted by OPSU Communications on 11/14/2013 Goodwell, Okla. —Pianist and OPSU music instructor, Dr. Michael Rector, just returned from a successful concert tour in Korea.

Rector and his wife, pianist Sylvia Hong, performed for the opening ceremony of the new Far East Broadcasting Company headquarters building in Seoul. FEBC is a Christian radio station whose affiliates reach about 60% of the world's population. The event was attended by many prominent Korean and international guests, including the former president of S. Korea, Lee Myung-Bak. Sylvia and Michael also inaugurated the station's new concert hall on October 28th, performing a sold-out duo recital on the new Hamburg Steinway concert grand piano.

In addition to the FEBC celebrations, Michael and Sylvia presented concerts and master classes in piano and chamber music at local universities. These included Gangnam University, in the now-famous district of Seoul, and Sungkyul University, in Anyang. The Korea trip was the climax of a busy Fall season that also included performances in Washington, DC; Los Angeles; Jackson, Miss.; and here at OPSU.

This was the couple's third trip to Korea at the invitation of FEBC.
