**For Immediate Release** SOEA donates Book Fair Profits Submitted by OPSU Education Department on 03/20/2014 Goodwell, Okla. — Student Oklahoma Education Association (SOEA) members from Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU) in Goodwell donated the proceeds from their recent Scholastic Book Fair to Carney Schools. On a recent trip to the State SOEA Convention, the group stopped by the school district for a photo opportunity with Sandi Butler, Carney principal.

Book Fair profits will be transferred to Carney Schools in the form of Scholastic Dollars, allowing for a credit of $357.83 for the purchase of Scholastic books in the school library. The OPSU SOEA Chapter performs several service projects throughout the year, but the Book Fair is held specifically to support reading and literacy in public schools.
