Back to School!

Released by OPSU Campus Communications on 08/07/2014

Goodwell, Okla. — The excitement of a new school year is upon us and students are beginning to arrive back on campus.

The apartments opened on August 1 and the dorms will open August 10 for students to make their home away from home.

New students won’t want to miss Orientation Day on August 12. The event will be held in the Centennial Theatre located in Hughes-Strong Hall. Check- in will start at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of Hughes-Strong Hall followed by presentations from key departments on the OPSU campus at 7 p.m. Students will gain a better understanding of the campus throughout the evening. Additionally, they will participate in a series of team building games encouraging the students to step out of their comfort zone and make friends for life.

Classes will begin August 13 and after wrapping up the first day, students are invited to attend an Ice Cream Social at the Goodwell Garden Club Park starting at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, August 14, a cook-out will be held in recognition of the OPSU chapter of Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) at 5 p.m. in the OPSU Bell Tower Plaza. Everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate a very successful year of competition for PBL.

A number of back to school activities will continue throughout the week for students to participate in. Don’t miss out on any of the fun, enroll today!
