OPSU Success Story: Timothy Hearne

Timothy Hearne graduated from OPSU with of Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems (CIS) in May 2007 and is currently an Information Technology (IT) Analyst at the University of Oklahoma.

Hearne works with the Infrastructure and Operations groups at the University of Oklahoma Health and Science Center in Oklahoma City. His group acts as central IT for the campus. Additionally, a portion of Hearne’s time is allocated to the OU Shared Services Operation team which works within OU's Shared Services Infrastructure spanning all OU campuses.

This CIS major credits OPSU for “helping me quickly grasp new ideas and technologies” saying, “My roles involve knowing your way around multiple systems and I believe the varied curriculum offered within the CIS program at OPSU helped me when taking on a more ‘versatilist’ position.”

In addition to his current job, Hearne also likes working within the states’ Art community and has displayed art in both the Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Okla. metropolitan area.
