Released by Panhandle State Campus Communications on 11/02/2017

Goodwell, Okla. — The heat is on for the annual fan favorite Oklahoma Panhandle State University Chili Cook-off set for November 11th on campus. Whether you claim to be a seasoned chili cook or this is your first contest, don’t miss a second of the fun! From cooking to taste testing, we have a place for you!

The contest is free to enter and free for taste testers alike. A donation box will be available and proceeds will be split between two campus organizations. Located in the tailgate zone, the judging will kick-off at 11 a.m.

Each contestant will receive a designated serving area and must provide three gallons of chili for judging as well as taste testing. Contestants must provide their own serving spoon and heating element. No electricity will be available.

Winners will be announced at halftime of the football game with the top three recognized for the Best Chili award. The Best Presentation (best serving area) will be recognized as well. Aggie fans will be given the opportunity to sample all the entries and vote for their favorite as the People’s Choice Winner.
