Goodwell, Okla. — It was an emotional but very special moment as Oklahoma Panhandle State University School of Business & Technology Faculty members and President Dr. Tim Faltyn gathered on Tuesday, October 24 with Lester Miller and Rose Miller for a student lounge dedication in memory of the late David Miller.

The student lounge is located in Carter Hall in a cozy little nook that features a large window overlooking campus. The lounge features beautiful black leather couches and a table that can fold out to be used as a desktop.

Mr. Miller, a Business Administration faculty member and department chair, passed away unexpectedly this past May. He was dearly loved and respected throughout the entire school.

Mr. Miller served at Panhandle State for 28 years. He began his career at Panhandle in 1988 as an adjunct business instructor. In 1993, he became a professor of Business and was promoted to Assistant Professor of Business in 1998. In 2004, Mr. Miller became the Chair of the Business Administration Department and was holding that position at the time of his passing.

University President Dr. Tim Faltyn said, “Mr. Miller had such an impact on this campus putting numerous leaders in place to do great things. We are honored for his family to choose to bless the University with this student lounge in his memory.”
