Aggies Account for 76 Spots on Fall Honor Rolls

Released by Panhandle State Sports Information on 01/08/2018

Goodwell, Okla.—With the spring semester just getting underway, Aggie athletes are starting off on the right foot. Panhandle State released the Fall 2017 Dean's and President's Honor Rolls, and student-athletes accounted for 33 percent of the lists combined.

All sports were included in the tally, comprised of football (12), volleyball (8), basketball (14), cross country (5), golf (3), baseball (10), softball (6), rodeo (12), equestrian (4) and cheer (2). The Dean's Honor Roll boasted 55 Aggie athletes with the highest number coming from football (10) and rodeo (9). A total of 21 student-athletes were listed on the prestigious President's Honor Roll, led by the sports of baseball and women's basketball with four players each.

Students must carry at least 12 credit hours of university courses and have no "Fs" or incomplete courses to be considered on the honor rolls. To qualify for the Dean's list, they must hold a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.99 for the semester; President's Honor Roll recipients must meet a 4.0 GPA requirement for the semester.

Congratulations to the 76 Aggie athletes who not only made the grade last semester, but did so while remaining fully active and integral in their respective sports and student organizations. The complete listing of Deans' and President's Honor Roll recipients is available at opsu.edu.
