FCA Game Day Brings Together Sports and Service

Goodwell, Okla.—On Saturday, Jan. 27 the Panhandle State men's basketball team, in partnership with local Fellowship of Christian Athletes groups, will host a public event game day filled with fellowship and basketball.

FCA groups from around the Panhandle area will gather at the Hughes Strong Auditorium on the OPSU campus to take part in a worship and praise session prior to the Aggies' home basketball games later that day. Group check in for the FCA festivities will begin at 1 p.m. in Hughes Strong where the FCA is proud to have Panhandle State BCM Director, David Coffey, give a sermon beginning at 1:30. Panhandle State FCA representatives will also be available to offer testimonies and information on other campus ministries.

Following the FCA festivities, Aggie Basketball is set for a double header of Sooner Athletic Conference action as they take on the Southwestern Christian University Eagles at home in Anchor D Arena. The Lady Aggies will take the court at 3 p.m. followed by the men's team at 5 p.m. The concession stand will offer free popcorn for guests, a recognition of FCA participants will take place at halftime of the men's game and fun contests for the visiting FCA attendees will occur throughout both games.

Pre-registration is available through Jan. 22 for those wishing to receive an FCA Game Day t-shirt. The event is free to the public and open to anyone interested in attending; those who pre-purchase t-shirts will receive free admission into both Aggie Basketball games that afternoon.
