Goodwell, Okla. — Looking to add to their collection of Top 10 finishes, Oklahoma Panhandle State University’s Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) members and advisors are at the National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Baltimore, Md. June 23-26.

The best and brightest of PBL groups from across the country will convene to compete in leadership events, share their successes, and learn new ideas about shaping their career future through workshops and exhibits. This four-day conference is considered the highlight of the PBL experience.

Panhandle State students attending the conference include: Jocelynn Avalos of Guymon, Okla.; Skylar Behne of Guymon, Okla.; Madison Dearmin of Balko, Okla.; Ely Esquivel of Guymon, Okla.; Alexandra Garcia of Plainview, Texas; Selina Gaucin of Guymon, Okla.; Aaron Hammett of Boyd, Texas; Cameron Hammett of Boyd, Texas; Sam Lemin of Canberra, ACT, Australia; Madilyn Rider of Guymon, Okla.; Jorge Rosas of Felt, Okla.; Ami Torres of Guymon, Okla.; and Sarah Smith of Ulysses, Kan.

Advisers attending include Robyn Harris, Sara Hitch, and Davin Winger.

Sara Hitch said, “NLC is truly the highlight of our year as we get to see how our students stack up to students from universities across the nation. Previously, our students have definitely held their own as we have 28 Top 10 finishes to date since we began competing in 2012. We look forward to adding to that total over the next few days!”
