**For Immediate Release** OPSU Runners Compete in the Cowboy Jamboree By By Scott Puryear of OPSU Sports on 10/08/2009 Goodwell, Okla. — Nearly 440 cross country runners were in Stillwater last weekend to compete in the Cowboy Jamboree, hosted by Oklahoma State University. Representatives from both the Oklahoma Panhandle State men’s and women’s teams were part of the action.

A total of 240 men ran the 8k course and the 199 women competed in a 5k.

The top Lady Aggie finisher was Veronica Lozano, who covered the course in 22:42. Other OPSU runners in the competition were Arlene Soto (28:02), Amanda Boggs (29:16), Kayla Joos (29:35), and Rachael Beck (29:40).

For the men, the top OPSU finisher was Johana Korir who covered the 8k in 28:43. Also competing for the Aggies were Jesus Uribe (29:37), Quentin Williams (30:15), Martin Baeza (33:01), Kevin Geofroy (33:58), and Shaquille Redhair (36:01).
