Goodwell, Okla. - Fifteen Oklahoma Panhandle State University Computer Information Systems students attended the Regional Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) programming contest and conference at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, this past October.
OPSU students finished in the top five of three of the six contests they entered. They students competed against AITP schools in their region, which includes Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.
Nick Morse of Colorado Springs and Micah Donaldson of Ashland, Kans., took second in Network Design. Aaron Sudbrink of Borger, Texas and Allen Roberts of Hooker teamed up in Office Integration and placed second in that contest. Michal Stachowski, an OPSU student from Poland, and Manuel Carranza of Liberal, Kans., were top five finalists in PC Troubleshooting.
