**For Immediate Release** Enter Now for Battle of the Bands! -released by OPSU Campus Communications 08-03-06 Goodwell, OK — Oklahoma Panhandle State University is hosting Battle of the Bands on Thursday, August 31, 2006, beginning at 3 p.m. and ending around midnight. All area bands are invited to enter and compete. The contest is free to enter and the winning band will receive $500 cash. There are six time slots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each band will be given a one and a half hour time slot. Please note that we only have 110-volt outlets available. Bands may play the music of their choice and the winner will be selected by a secret ballot vote of the OPSU student body.
