**For Immediate Release** Getting the Word Out -released by OPSU Campus Communications 08-21-2007 By Laura Hays Goodwell, Okla. - Oklahoma Panhandle State University is the university of choice for a number of Texas Panhandle residents, many of whom completed Associate degrees at local two-year colleges and decided to complete a Bachelor’s. In order to expose more prospective students attending those junior colleges as well as Amarillo area high schools to OPSU, the university invested in colorful billboards in the Amarillo area. Look for them at the corner of Teckla and Paramount; Hollywood Road and Bell; 34th and Grand; and along Highway 60 outside of Canyon. The billboards feature familiar OPSU faces including international student Toya Njie; Danae (Fieser) Moore, a recent graduate and current OPSU recruiter; Hector Cobos, a senior from Guymon; and Lacy Jones, OPSU recruiter who is finishing her OPSU degree this fall. ###
