Goodwell, Okla. - Oklahoma Panhandle State University will hold its 98th annual Commencement Ceremony this Saturday, May 17, 2008 beginning at 10 a.m. in the Oscar Williams Field House. As the university moves into its centennial year, Dr. Sara Jane Richter, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and chair of the Centennial Committee will address this year’s graduates. In addition to these responsibilities, the respected and well-known educator remains committed to providing instruction to the community in the course of her work as a public speaker through various area organizations.

Immediately following the ceremony, President Dave Bryant invites graduates, their guests and OPSU family and friends to the free annual barbecue in the plaza. Thanks to Seaboard Foods for generously providing the meat, the Methodist Men for cooking, and to all OPSU faculty and staff who help serve the meal.
