OPSU Celebrates Constitution Day

Oklahoma Panhandle State University will host several activities
on Thursday and Friday, September 15 and 16 in recognition
of Constitution Day, which is officially celebrated on September
17.
The overall goal of these activities is to educate new generations
about the Constitution and to help them develop an appreciation
for its importance to our country. OPSU is hosting the following
activities to accomplish this goal. In addition, there will
be a display in McKee Library devoted to the U.S. Constitution
with reading materials available about our national framework.
Thursday, September 15
11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. - Display table outside of Aggie Grill with Constitution
related hand-outs.
1:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. - We the People: The Story of
the Constitution of the United States – Hamilton Hall, Room 222
Friday, September 16
Information about the U.S. Constitution handed out in History
and Government classes.
11:00 a.m. - Reading of the U.S. Constitution
Preamble with comments by Dr. Brad Duren at the University
Commons Clock Tower
9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. - Founding
Fathers- A Healthy Constitution – video
presentation in Hamilton Hall, Room 222 - every hour on the
hour
