Fire Fighter Course Offered at OPSU

Oklahoma Panhandle State University’s
Department of Continuing Education is offering an entry-level
fire fighter course beginning September 13. Classes will
be held at the Guymon Fire Department Station 1 on Tuesday
and Thursday at 6-10 p.m. The course length is 140 hours.
The course is designed to help students develop the skills
needed to perform the duties of an entry-level fire fighter.
In addition to classroom work, students will get the hands-on
experience needed to meet the requirements listed for Fire
Fighter I in the National Fire Protection Association 1001,
the professional qualifications standard to become a fire fighter.
The course fee is $125 and should be mailed to OPSU, Continuing
Education, P.O. Box 430, Goodwell, OK 73939. For more information
