**For Immediate Release** Fall Interns Fulfilling Assignments -released by OPSU Campus Communications 10-26-07 Goodwell, Okla. - Since Monday, September 17, five OPSU education students are now doing what some of them thought might never get here — student teaching. After attending classes for four years, they now have the opportunity to put into practice what they have been learning in their education courses. The teacher candidates who will be completing their internship this fall include: Intern Name Home Town Subject/Grade Level Stacy Batenhorst Hartley, TX 2nd Grade Rebecca Cox Dayton, WY Agriculture Education/High School Geraldine Rangel Ulysses, KS 3rd Grade Lindsey Sims Stratford, TX 3rd Grade Delisha Webb Boise City, OK 1st Grade The interns will complete a 12-week assignment at their schools, returning to the OPSU campus for a mid-term seminar on October 29th, and will complete their internship on December 7, 2007. This is the final requirement in their quest to become licensed teachers in Oklahoma and/or other states. Thanks to the following cooperating teachers and schools for providing OPSU students the opportunity to teach in their classes and for supervising their internship.
