Fall Interns Fulfilling Assignments

Goodwell, Okla. - Since Monday, September 17, five OPSU education students are now doing what some of them thought might never get here — student teaching. After attending classes for four years, they now have the opportunity to put into practice what they have been learning in their education courses.
The teacher candidates who will be completing their internship this fall include:

The interns will complete a 12-week assignment at their schools, returning to the OPSU campus for a mid-term seminar on October 29th, and will complete their internship on December 7, 2007. This is the final requirement in their quest to become licensed teachers in Oklahoma and/or other states.
Thanks to the following cooperating teachers and schools for providing OPSU students the opportunity to teach in their classes and for supervising their internship. Teachers and schools participating this fall include Lori Sherrill, Dalhart Elementary; Chip Laubach, Guymon High School; Charlene Johnson, Optima School; Lora Smith, Sunset Elementary in Dumas; and Shawna Portillo at Straight Elementary north of Guymon.
