OPSU Library to Host Workshops

Okla.- Oklahoma Panhandle
State University’s
Marvin E. McKee Library will host two hands-on workshops
provided by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries. Both
workshops are free, but registration is required.
The Legal and Legislative Resources Workshop will be Thursday,
April 20, from 2-4:30 p.m. in McKee Library. Legal Workshop
Lead Officer Louisa Voden will provide computer instruction
to help interested citizens learn about online legal and
legislative resources.
The Census Workshop will be Friday, April 21, from 1-4
p.m. in McKee Library. Steve Beleu, Director, U.S. Government
Information Division, will provide training on accessing
census data.
Individuals who would like to understand and use legal,
legislative or census information in an electronic format
will benefit from these workshops. The information provided
will be useful for grant writers, government officials,
business owners, educators and members of community organizations.
The sessions will include tips on finding and using general
census, health and education data, economic census, and
legal and legislative resources, and participants will
have computer access during the sessions.
