OPSU Programming Team Headed for Detroit

Goodwell, Okla. — Twelve top students representing Oklahoma Panhandle State University will be heading for Detroit, Michigan later this month to compete in the 2007 Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) National Collegiate Conference. The conference is set for March 29-31.
The dozen young people are part of the always excellent OPSU Computer Programming Team. At the National Collegiate Conference, each student will participate in up to four contests, including Visual Communications, Microsoft Office Solutions, Systems Analysis & Design, Application Development, Database Design, Network Design, Business Intelligence, and PC Troubleshooting.
The OPSU Programming Team has a strong nationwide reputation and usually does quite well in national competitions. Diane Murphey is the faculty sponsor and will be accompanying the team to Detroit.

In addition, students and faculty at the conference will be able to network with recruiters who are looking for interns and full-time employees. They will also learn about key issues in the field of Information Technology from top executives from across the nation. The host school is Central Michigan University. In addition to a wonderful learning experience, the Programming Team will be in Detroit doing what they always do – representing OPSU in a very positive manner. |
