Goodwell, Okla. -- On Friday, March 7, OPSU’s Student Oklahoma Education Association (SOEA) was a part of over 200 members statewide in the annual “Outreach to Teach” refurbishing efforts at Crutcho Public School in Oklahoma City. The OPSU group completed two hallway murals. One is about 20 feet long with an ocean and fish and sea creatures from Dr. Seuss book. Another part of the group painted an inspirational mural featuring Martin Luther King, Jr.

On Saturday, the students attended a conference on teaching English to students who speak a different native language, how to co-teach, how to make math fun for students, and how to help students with testing. The group will continue community service work in April when they participate in the Adopt a Highway program.
