Two Firsts Plan Senior Art Shows

Goodwell, Okla. -- Oklahoma Panhandle
State University seniors Jeffrey Allen First and Scarlett
(Sederberg) First will both hold their Senior Art Shows
in the Noble Center game room May 1-3 from noon-5 p.m.
daily. “The First
Art Show” will represent the married couple’s
artwork and fills a requirement necessary for their degrees.
A reception will be held on Tuesday, May 2, from 5-9 p.m.,
and the artists will be available to discuss their work.
The shows and reception are free and open to the public.
Jeff First, a native of Paris, Texas,
was awarded a full art scholarship at OPSU, and will
graduate this May with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
with an emphasis in computer graphics and a minor in
traditional art. He served twice as president of Images
Art Club, and maintains membership in the Alpha Chi Honor
Society. Jeff’s show includes
acrylic paintings and ceramics.
Scarlett will graduate in May with
a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in computer
graphics and will return to pursue a minor in photography.
She graduated from Des Moines High School in New Mexico
where she won first in regional and third in state competitions
in Computer-Aided Graphics. Scarlett’s show will
represent her works in photography and oil painting.
