Goodwell, Okla. -- Aaron Foster, a native of Guymon, Oklahoma, has been creating art since he can recall. It remains one of his earliest memories of doing something with his mother as well as his friends in school. With every new stage of his life, he has found new things encouraging him to study art. Now that he is graduating from college and beginning graduate courses in painting, he continues to produce art in order to express his ideas in a way that other people can enjoy. He has prepared his artwork to display at his senior art show.
Many things have motivated Aaron’s art in its many changes over the years, but one truth has always prevailed – he is driven by emotion. For Aaron, art must always penetrate the viewer’s mind and implant a feeling. He believes that idea is more important than each piece having a theme or a meaning.
His senior art show begins today, Tuesday, April 22 and lasts through Friday, April 25. The display will be in the Noble Activity Center on the OPSU campus and is open to the public from 4-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Friday, it will open at 4 p.m.; the reception will begin at 6 p.m.; and the exhibit will close at 7 p.m. Come see Aaron’s large collection of paintings and other artwork and ask him any questions about his art.
