For nearly 100 years, Oklahoma Panhandle State University
has provided its students with a high quality education.
Dr. Shiloah Stover and his wife, Holly Hooper-Stover met
at OPSU, and both attribute their education here with the
success they now enjoy.
Holly graduated from OPSU with a
Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in May of 2001
and completed a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education
at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She currently
teaches in the Sayre, OK public school and said she enjoys
helping children achieve their very best. Holly served
as a member of the student senate and played softball
three years for the Lady Aggies. She stated, “Softball
taught me to persevere in difficult situations. Student
Senate taught me how to compromise and work well with others
to accomplish something big.”
Although Shiloah did not graduate from OPSU, he says his
coursework here led him to meet the admissions requirements
for chiropractic school. He completed a Bachelor of Science
degree in human biology and a doctor of chiropractic degree
at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City. He recently
opened his own clinic, Stover Family Chiropractic in Elk
City, and enjoys helping his patients attain their optimal
health and wellness. During his time at OPSU, he played
baseball and basketball and says that, coupled with his
resident assistant experience, he overcame his shyness
and gained the interpersonal skills necessary in his profession.
Our cozy, collegial atmosphere offers students the opportunity
to complete a degree as well as the chance to develop personal,
professional, and leadership skills.
