OPSU Student Teacher Interns Enter Classrooms

Goodwell, Okla. -- The Teacher Education Program at Oklahoma Panhandle State University prepares future teachers for Oklahoma public schools as well as for surrounding states. This semester, eight OPSU students are ready to complete their programs of study culminating with a 12-week internship of student teaching. The interns reported to their respective schools on February 11th, teaching in areas including elementary education, math, social studies, and agriculture education.
The OPSU Teacher Education Program held its Pre-Internship Meeting with the cooperating teachers on February 6th with several of the cooperating teachers and administrators in attendance. The OSPU Conceptual Framework (Gateway to the Future) was presented and explained to them; Intern Handbooks were distributed; and intern evaluation forms were reviewed.
The interns will return to the OPSU campus March 31st for their mid-term seminar and will complete their internship on May 9th. Below is a list of current student interns.
