Goodwell , Okla. - Tri-County Electric Cooperative is a great friend and patron of Oklahoma Panhandle State University. At last Saturday’s OPSU basketball games, Gene Brooks of Tri-County was on hand and represented Tri-County in a recognition ceremony.
Tri-County has partnered with OPSU in several areas - including grants, scholarships, athletic event sponsorship, and technology sharing. They have also made a sizeable contribution to the school’s new Science and Agricultural Building Project. Saturday night’s basketball games were open free to the public thanks to Tri-County’s patronage of OPSU sports.
At halftime of the men’s game – a big Aggie 62-48 win over MSU-Billings – the various Tri-County partnerships with OPSU were detailed by announcer Dr. Wayne Stewart, and Brooks was presented with a plaque from school president Dr. Dave Bryant and a basketball from Athletic Director Jerry Olson. The basketball was signed by the members and coaches of the Aggie and Lady Aggie teams.
A great team . . . OPSU and Tri-County Electric Cooperative.
