Aggies Lose a Pair to Fort Hays State

Goodwell, OK – The Oklahoma Panhandle State baseball team traveled to Hays, Kansas on Wednesday to face a good Fort Hays State team. The Aggies lost the first game of the double header, 14-4, but came back strong in the nightcap, losing by only single run (5-4).
Fort Hays 14, AGGIES 4
The Aggies left nine men on base and gave up nine runs in the fifth inning, as they lost to Fort Hays 14-4. Aaron Tecumseh, Dave Pierson, and Clint Kygar each had a hit for the Aggies, and Bressler and Ryan Forsythe each had an RBI.
Fort Hays 5, AGGIES 4
The Aggies’ attempt at a come-from-behind victory fell just short, as they lost the second game of the series, 5-5.
K.D. Bressler, and Dave Pierson both were two of three from the plate, and Ryan Forsythe (now batting at .370 for the season) drove in a pair of runs for the Aggies.
The next home action for the Aggies will be in double headers with Heartland Conference rival Rockhurst on Saturday and Sunday. The first pitch on Saturday will be at 1:00 in the afternoon.
