Goodwell, OK - Kyle Davis, new head football coach at Oklahoma Panhandle State, says he likes what he sees so far in spring practice.
Nearly 60 veteran players are participating in spring drills and Davis has been running a practice schedule with many of the workouts beginning at 6:30 in the morning, and there has been "perfect attendance" to date.Davis has praised several of his players so far, and speaks highly of the work of offensive players Ty Sellers (quarterback), Nick Williams (center), and David Daniels (running back). Davis also has high praise for Shane Black, an All-Independent Football Alliance receiver last season who has been working out at both receiver and quarterback this spring. On defense, Davis speaks positively about the work of several players, including returning All-America defensive back Jeborric Evans, linebackers Clifford Dean and Ranoaldo Davis, and lineman William Hackney.
The hitting is intense on the practice field so far, and the public can see the 2005 Aggies in action on April 9 at 10:00 in the annual intra-squad game.
