OPSU Football Recruiting Scoring Big

Goodwell, OK - Kyle Davis, Oklahoma Panhandle State head football coach, recently announced the names of thirteen top players who have committed to join the Aggie program in the fall. They are:
Brandon Moore, a prized recruit who, at 6’2 and 295 pounds, can make an immediate impact. Moore earned All-Region honors at Lowndess High School in Valdosta, Georgia (a state championship team). He is also an excellent student.Willie Benson (Alva, OK) is a 6’2, 255 pound offensive lineman who was a District Player of the Year. According to Davis, Benson has size, speed, strength and toughness, and is also a very good student.Luke Church (Colcord, OK) is both a wide receiver and a defensive back. Church (5’9 and 169 pounds) ranked third in the state in kick return yardage and was both All-District and a Class 2A All-Star.Jarrod Randall (Blanchard, OK), a 6’1, 219 pound fullback has the strength and skill to be an impact player and served as a captain of his high school team. Many have stated that Randall was one of the toughest players in central Oklahoma.Clint Lawrence (Poteau, OK), is a six footer, weighing in at 215 pounds who starred as a prep at both fullback and linebacker. Lawrence was named to the 1st Team Defense in the Southeast Region and was All-State Honorable Mention.Jason Myers (Amarillo, TX) is a 5’11, 170 pound quarterback who was named 1st Team All-District playing for Palo Duro High School. Davis said that Myers is a very accurate passer and shows strong leadership.Nathan Barclay (Amarillo, TX), one of three players recruited from River Road High School, is a 6’1, 190 pound running back with excellent blocking skills. Barkley is an all-around athlete who can help the Aggies on either side of the ball.Jonathan Wyatt (Amarillo, TX) is another fine River Road athlete, who has good size (6’4, 270 pounds) and is projected to provide some immediate help for the Oklahoma Panhandle State offensive line.Gabriel Gillmore (Amarillo, TX) is a talented 6’4, 190 pounder who can play quarterback or on defense, and he has the strength and size to go at safety. Playing for River Road High School, Gillmore was All-District last season.Joseph Griffin (Dalhart, TX), a strong legged kicker standing 5’5 and weighing in at 190. Griffin, who converted more than 90% of his extra point attempts, should help the OPSU kicking game immensely.Brandon Warner of Marysville KS is a 2004 high school grad who is competing in baseball this season at Seward County Community College. Warner was a top prep quarterback at Marysville, and is expected to contribute to Aggie football immediately.Teron Guidry (League City, TX), a 5’10, 160 defensive back from Clear Creek High School who has been clocked in 4.5 seconds over forty yards. Guidry is also expected to make an immediate contribution as a kick returner.
John Racette (Oakley, KS) will join the Aggies via Hutchinson Community College where he earned 1st Team JUCO All-America honors as a punter. Racette can kick for distance and is also an excellent field position punter.
