Goodwell, Okla. - Though winter’s chill is still with us, that has not stopped several Oklahoma Panhandle State softball and baseball players from putting out some strong batting averages, and six of them are hitting .300 of better.
For the Lady Aggies, Stacy Harbour is batting .345 and Cathy Daza is at .300. Harbour is a junior from Nowata, Oklahoma and Daza, a sophomore, is a Canadian from Cambridge, Ontario.
For the Aggies, Josh Garcia, a freshman from Nixon, Texas, has already earned Heartland Player of the Week honors and is hitting at a .382 clip. Junior James Fisher of Sierra Vista, Arizona, is holding a .333 average.
Guymon, Oklahoma’s K.D. Bressler (a junior) is batting .315, and Mike Roche, a junior from Sterling, Colorado, holds a .306 average.
