OPSU’s Matthews Leads Conference in Batting

Goodwell, OK - JeCorey Matthews of Oklahoma Panhandle State University has been letting opponents know he means business when he has a bat in his hands. The 6’1, 215-pound outfielder has a batting average of .478 for the first seven games of the season and leads the Heartland Conference in that category.

The Aggie baseball team will have the season home opener this Saturday, with the first pitch set for noon. They’ll be going at it with Fort Hays State in a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday. Sunday’s game is set for 1:00 p.m., and all games will be played at the baseball complex on the OPSU campus.
