Epic PCS and OPSU Team Up During Big Basketball Week

Goodwell, Okla. -- There will be four big Heartland Conference basketball games on the Oklahoma Panhandle State campus this week. On Thursday, the Lady Aggies and the Aggies will go against the teams representing rival St. Mary’s University. The women’s game is set for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off and the men will go at approximately 8:00 p.m.
On Saturday, the teams from St. Edward’s University will be in town and it will be the annual Homecoming games. The women’s game is set for 6:00 p.m. again and men for approximately 8:00. The Homecoming Royalty will be crowned at halftime of the men’s game.
Also included as part of Saturday night’s basketball festivities will be the NCAA participating “Think Pink” in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness. There will be plenty of audience participation events and proceeds from a “50/50” contest will be donated to the Oklahoma Panhandle Area Circle of Friends. All fans are also encouraged to wear something pink in support of the event.
Saturday’s games will be offered to the public at no charge, thanks to the patronage and support of Epic PCS.
Oscar Williams Fieldhouse on the OPSU campus will be the place to be this week. On Thursday, there will be music by the OPSU show band, the great OPSU cheer team will be on hand, and some great college basketball. On Saturday night, there will be more of the same plus a wonderful opportunity to be involved in helping with Breast Cancer Awareness, all the excitement of a college homecoming, and a very good time for everybody.
