Three OPSU Players Named All-Conference

Goodwell, Okla. - Three Oklahoma Panhandle State basketball players have been honored for their outstanding play this season as they were named All-Heartland Conference.
Aggie junior LaChawn Anderson was a big winner in the conference voting. The 6’4 guard from Chicago was named to the first team as well as recognized as the league’s Newcomer of the Year. Anderson won the conference scoring title with a 17.9 average and registered a single game conference high of 38 points.
Will Stephenson, a forward from Chicago, was named Honorable Mention. The 6’6 junior averaged 12.9 points per game and led the conference in shots blocked with 45.
Megan Hamilton of the Lady Aggies was named to the All-Heartland second team in women’s basketball. The 5’5 junior guard from Harrah, Oklahoma averaged 12.3 points per game and led the league in assists with a 3.7 per game average.
Hamilton, Anderson, and Stephenson will be back on the court next season and each will be looking for a big senior year.
