Another Top Area Player Joins OPSU Basketball

Goodwell, Okla.- Curt Connor, head basketball coach at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, has announced that Jake Strain of Goodwell will join the Aggies next season.

Strain was one of the top 3-point shooters in the entire state last season and averaged 18.5 points per game. He earned the High Plains Conference Most Valuable Player and All-State Honorable Mention honors.

Strain works hard on the court as well as in the classroom. He has a 3.9 grade point average and ranks second in his class. He plans on majoring in Biology at OPSU and has his eye on a career in either sports medicine or athletic training.

Strain, a 5'10 guard, said he is excited about playing close to home and that he looks forward to playing “Curt Connor Style Basketball."
