OPSU Centers Coming Up Big, Headed for BIG Games

Goodwell, Okla. - Inside play will be key for the Oklahoma
Panhandle State Aggies and Lady Aggies this week as they head
into their final conference showdowns. Centers Aaron Harrison
and Nina Kuleff have been performing well down the stretch,
and strong games from both will help the OPSU teams in their
quest for a place the Heartland Conference tournament.
Harrison scored 19 points and pulled down a dozen rebounds
in the Aggies’ stunning 61-60 win over St. Edward’s
last week. Since rejoining the team at the semester, the 6’9” senior
from Chicago leads the team in scoring with 15.9 points per
game and leads the conference in rebounds with 9.5 per game.
Nina Kuleff notched her eleventh double-double in the Lady
Aggies’ 64-62 loss to St. Edward’s last week, scoring
23 points and snagging 12 rebounds. The 6’0” junior
from Phoenix leads the Lady Aggies in scoring with 14.4 points
per game and leads the conference in defensive rebounding with
6.5 per game.
The Aggies and the Lady Aggies remain in contention for the
Heartland Conference tournament. The Aggies are 5-5 in conference
play and are tied for 4th place with Western New Mexico. On
Wednesday, they will go up against conference-leading Montana
State-Billings at Oscar Williams Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. The Aggies
play their final regular season game on Friday at home against
Lincoln University. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
The Lady Aggies are in 4th place in the conference standings
with a 6-5 record. They play their final conference game on
Friday against Lincoln University. The game starts at 6 p.m.
in OPSU’s Oscar Williams Fieldhouse.
