Second Half Surge Gives Aggies 77-70 Victory

Goodwell, OK - The Cardinals of
the University of the Incarnate Word held a 35-33 half-time
lead over Oklahoma Panhandle State here on Wednesday night.
The Aggies were not one bit happy about it and roared out
of the locker room to take a 77-70 victory. OPSU lead by
as many as 19 points in the final half.
Nick Malinowski, Aaron Harrison, Eddie Moss and William Preston
did most of the damage in the big Aggie second-half run which
saw them go from two points down to 16 points ahead in just
over ten minutes of play.
It was the third straight victory for the Aggies, coached
by Curt Connor.
Harrison turned in another fine performance with game highs
of 22 points and 12 rebounds. Moss scored 20, including six
3-point bombs, and Malinowski scored 13. The dependable Preston
dropped in ten points, and the hard-working Tim Anderson scored
eight to go with his game high nine assists and three steals.
The Aggies will try for a fourth consecutive
Heartland Conference win this Friday at 8:00 p.m. on their
home court against St. Mary’s.
