Aggies Fall to Texas A&M International

Goodwell, Okla. -- The Oklahoma Panhandle State men’s basketball team was in Laredo on Thursday night to face Heartland Conference rival Texas A&M International. TA&MI picked up the win, 92-68.
In the first half, the Aggies suffered through some cold shooting, hitting 32% from the field (compared to 56% for their opponents). The home team was ahead at halftime, 43-23.
In the first part of the second half, the Aggies shot better and played better and got to within eight points (54-46 with just under 12 minutes left in the game.) However, TA&MI finished strongly to win the game, 92-68, and raised their season record to 9-15. With the loss, the OPSU season record dropped to 10-16.
Three Aggies scored in double figures – Will Stephenson (17), Luke Ogden (14), and Fred Durr with ten. Ogden had a game high ten rebounds. LaChawn Anderson scored nine for OPSU and Aaron Ruiz added six by virtue of two three point shots.
The Aggies will close their season on Saturday in San Antonio against the University of the Incarnate Word.
