OPSU’s Stephenson Named First Team All-Conference

Goodwell, Okla. -- Will Stephenson, Oklahoma Panhandle State University’s outstanding senior, has been named to the All-Heartland Conference Basketball Men’s First Team.
The 6’6 Stephenson (from Chicago) performed with distinction for the Aggies all year and won the conference scoring title with a 20.7 average. He was also the co-leader in rebounding with 8.7 per game.
In addition, Stephenson finished second in the league in blocked shots with 1.69 per game. He was named the Heartland Player of the Week twice during the season.
Stephenson, honored as a center, was the lone Aggie on the all-league teams. Other members of the first team were Pierce Caldwell (guard/Incarnate Word), Shawn Weinstein (guard/St. Edward’s), Daniel Pierre (forward/St. Edward’s) and Robert Harris (forward/UT-Permian Basin).
