Goodwell, OK – One of the best action movies of all time is “The Magnificent Seven” (1960) which starred Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson and Yul Brynner. It was the story of seven men, strong of body, will and heart that led a small group into battle against incredible odds and emerged victorious.

This basketball season, the Aggies from Oklahoma Panhandle State University will be led into the battle of college basketball by their own version of the Magnificent Seven – their seven seniors.

At 7:00 Tuesday night in Oscar Williams Fieldhouse on the OPSU campus, the seven and the rest of the Aggies will follow their coach, Curt Connor, into what should be an excellent game against West Texas A&M.

OPSU’s Magnificent Seven consists of Juan Carson, William Preston, Angelo Delagiudice, Nick Malinowski, Tim Anderson, Jose Yarid, and Eddie Moss. The seven seniors also have a strong supporting cast of veterans and newcomers. Last year, the Aggies (in Connor’s first season at OPSU) made a serious challenge for the Heartland Conference title, and are prepared to do the same this season.

Area fans are looking forward to some very good times with OPSU basketball this season.
